No other date is available this year. A Beretta Day for next year has been requested for Saturday August 8th 2015.

Beretta Practice Run

Posted by Ryan on May 6, 2014 at 9:30 PM

Saturday May 10th beginning at 9 am at Basswood Ridge Range! This event is displacing the “in-house RO workshop” that was scheduled. This workshop is in preparation to an event (tentatively) scheduled for August 9th in which Beretta will supply firearms and The Gun Dealer will supply ammo. Steven Stewart has graciously accepted an invitation to conduct a ‘practice run’ to help us safely and efficiently conduct this type of event. Areas to consider: safety (devices – procedures) registration; parking; Range Officer tasks (ROs); RO assistants; crowd control; set up preparations; hygiene; bottle neck avoidance; advertising; communication; greeters; recruitment; etc. We will be shooting as per the actual event. It should be very educational and these skills will also be transferable to other range events. We can use any and all help (bring a friend – member or not).

Youth Rimfire: update

Posted by Ryan on May 3, 2014 at 8:45 PM

We have 6 people (2 are females) interested in helping out with a youth recreational rimfire (22s) rifle program. We should have a dozen more (members or non-members) to make this program routine, long term and viable. The intent would be to spark interest in our youth towards the fun of shooting and keep this recreational activity alive and flourishing well into the future. If there is sufficient interest in helping out, training would be provided to start such a program. Anyone interested in becoming involved please contact Marcel (466-0111) or email = [email protected] If there’s sufficient interest, we’ll make it happen.

Youth Rimfire

Posted by Ryan on March 25, 2014 at 10:10 PM

Are there any adults – male or female – members or non-members, interested in helping out with a youth recreational rimfire (22s) rifle program at the Basswood Ridge Range?

No knowledge required.

The intent would be to spark interest in our youth towards the fun of shooting and keep this recreational activity alive and flourishing in the future. If there are sufficient adults interested in helping out - training/workshops would be provided to kick start such a program.

Anyone interested in becoming involved please contact Marcel (466-0111) or email = [email protected].

If there’s sufficient interest, we’ll make it happen. (To the youth, pester the adults!)
